Walmart Marketplace suspension- Explore the reasons

How to appeal a Walmart marketplace suspension? Recently, the internet is flooded with queries. Most of the vendors face suspension of their account. They get surprised as it happens suddenly. However, there are some rules you must abide by to avoid suspension of Walmart accounts.

All vendors must follow Walmart Marketplace Performance and Policy Standards. Walmart works with sellers to solve performance issues and policy infractions. When difficulties persist, or violations occur, the seller account may be temporarily or permanently suspended.

Suspended your Walmart marketplace? Don’t worry. It’s a bad scenario, but you can regain your account. If you want to stay in a Walmart Marketplace Seller, you must commit to the process and continuous progress. Begin.

Reasons of Suspension

Walmart Marketplace is a world-class online marketplace with high service and quality criteria that vendors must satisfy. Four primary causes of suspending seller accounts. Also, you can get more details once you approach Walmart customer service.

1. Seller performance issues

Sellers must fulfil these Walmart Performance Standards:

The 90-day ODR will be less than 2%.

The shipment rate should be above 98%.

Ninety-nine percent of Walmart sellers have to provide tracking details within 24 hours of shipment.

2. Retailer agreement violations

Sellers agree to the Marketplace Seller Agreement. The Agreement is a legal contract that you must follow once you’ve signed it.

Not fulfilling orders, not sharing shipping status, or not processing returns, refunds, or purchase cancellations are violations.

3. Operational standards failure

Walmart Marketplace sellers must consistently perform well. This includes on-time shipments, outstanding customer service, and timely refunds. Specific operating standards include:

Transparently and accurately giving product information, so customers are very well about their purchases; engaging with Walmart as a collaborator, responding quickly to customer inquiries; dealing with changing requirements.

Respect and equality: Sellers must not engage in forced or underage labor; must not distinguish based on race, sexual identity, age, culture, or religion; must abide by all laws around reimbursing and working hours of workers; must not retain wages or delay them in unfair or illegal practices; must not discourage trade unions; should ensure a safe work environment for all workers.

4. Safety and trust violations

Walmart Marketplace sellers must follow Walmart’s Trust and Safety Standard or have their accounts suspended. Clauses in these standards:

Marketplace violates this criterion when a forbidden or unsafe product is listed. Examples are prescription medications, gambling or monitoring outcomes, or untested infant goods.

Infringement happens when you list a wrong item, such as one that promotes discrimination, violence, profanity, or nudity.

Intellectual property: Violating this condition means listing a painting or other item without crediting its creator or without permission or rights to disseminate.

Reviewing and Suspending

Walmart’s account suspension process is fair so that you won’t be suspended without warning. Walmart explains why your account was suspended and offers requirements or suggestions to fix the problem in the future, providing the ability to improve.

The above rules, policies, or contracts can lead to  Walmart marketplace suspension, but the process isn’t simple. Walmart’s Partner Performance Review team reviews Sellers’ performance.

Walmart intervenes whenever ODR exceeds 2%. Sellers can expect ONE warning before their account is suspended, and only sellers who’ve been on Walmart Global market for three months or longer can be stopped. Walmart provides Sellers sufficient time to fix their ODR before taking any action.

For sellers with 50+ deals over 120 days, the team looks at the most recent three months. Walmart will check in 30 days after a warning to determine if the ODR has improved.

Walmart will suspend a Seller’s account if they haven’t improved ODR or changed their processes to comply. Walmart will notify you if any actions are taken, such as cancelling all clients who have access to your account.

Sellers will receive notification of Walmart account suspension with the earliest date they can appeal. When this happens, you must appeal.

Suspension appeals

Here’s how to appeal your account suspension. This only applies if your Walmart account was suspended for TSS violations.

1. Analyse specific assessment standards/retailer agreement policies

You made a mistake; now investigate. First, determine why you violated Walmart’s Performance Targets or Retailer Agreement Policies.

If your ODR has risen, you may need to visit an expert. If yes, track the causes of Order Defects. List your mistakes and ways to improve.

2. Develop a plan to regain compliance.

From your analysis, create a plan to get back in the game. Make excellence a priority in your schedule for future Walmart Marketplace sales. Outline how your trading practices will meet Walmart’s Performance Targets and Retailer Agreement.

Your action plan should represent your grasp of the issue, cause, and solution. Do it so Walmart can’t deny you can fix the problem.

3. Sending Business plan of action to Walmart

If your issue is related to Performance Standards, show how you’ll solve concerns like on-time delivery (partnering with fulfilment partners), customer support, and inventory control.

  • Send Walmart a business idea.
  • Provide Walmart your Marketing Plan of Action. How?
  • Seller Central login
  • Support > Partner Account/Profile > Appeals
  • Your Action Plan
  • Case submission

The submitted plan won’t restore the account, though. Walmart will analyze your Business Course of Action and respond within two days. If you’re reinstated, you’ll be given rigorous requirements to follow to maintain compliance and procedures to regain good standing.

Not all suspensions are appealable. You may not appeal for a Trust and Safety suspension. Ineligible appeals will be notified.

4. If reinstated, keep improving

Your account was reinstated, but you’re still in trouble. Follow your corporate action plan and raise your performance requirements.

If Walmart lifts the suspension, you must enhance your ODR to avoid future infractions and comply with all Guidelines and Retailer Agreements. If your performance doesn’t improve, you may be fired.

Verdict

When selling on Walmart Marketplace, avoid any violations. Since there’s no guarantee you’ll be reinstated after just a suspension (or that you won’t be fired), the best approach is to avoid getting suspended.

  • Follow performance and operational standards.
  • Follow Walmart’s Retailer Agreement.
  • Update your Partner Profile’s Customer Service details.
  • Always use correct listing descriptions; never lie.
  • Please pay attention to delivery deadlines, convey them effectively, and use adequate packaging to protect your things.
  • Maintain top performance by monitoring your scorecard.
  • Customer service matters.

Once you follow the above tips, you won’t face your account suspension on Walmart. The methods can help you appeal a Walmart marketplace suspension. Also you can call up Walmart customer service to get the exact answer of any query.
